Commercial lifts - repair and service

Commercial elevator maintenance

Melbourne Elevators is a dedicated lift maintenance and repair company. We are based in Melbourne and service the Greater Melbourne area and the Mornington Peninsula.

Commercial Lift Maintenance, an annual safety check and 24/7 emergency support is both mandated by Worksafe Victoria and is a requirement of insurers. The number of services per year, provision of parts, and inclusions for call outs are variables that Melbourne Elevators considers when working through the most suitable form of maintenance agreement for a particular type of lift and our customers specific requirements.

Guiding customers to an appropriate maintenance agreement that meets their equipment, financial, and legal responsibilities requires the expertise and experience of a specialist lift service company - such as Melbourne Elevators.

Why use Melbourne Elevators?

Customer Service
When customers call or email us we answer! Many lift companies have cut costs by reducing staffing in customer service. We have responded by increasing staff to ensure our customers receive prompt and reliable service whenever it's needed.

Working cooperatively
We prefer to work cooperatively with our customers with mutual respect and integrity. To this aim we do not have lock in clauses in our agreements; our customers are free to exit at any stage.

No lock in maintenance agreements
This ensures fair pricing for all services and repairs and a commitment to quality customer service.

Detailed maintenance reports
Comprehensive reports are supplied to customers after every service and safety check is completed.

Low rise lift specialists
Low rise lifts are the core of our business so customers with lifts up to six levels are our priority. National and multinational companies tend to prioritise medium and
high-rise lifts.

How to evaluate a lift maintenance agreement?

Before signing a new lift maintenance agreement, it is essential to ask the right questions to ensure you are getting the best value but still ensuring quality maintenance.

Understanding contract terms, service inclusions, response times, and compliance requirements will help you make an informed decision and will ensure your lifts remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained.

Not all agreements are the same, especially Comprehensive Maintenance. Check our blog posts for more information on industry trends and professional advice for your lift service and maintenance needs.

Some important considerations are:

  • Are you free to leave your contract or are you locked in for three to five years?
  • Is every service fully documented with a comprehensive check list?
  • How long will the lift mechanic be on site for each service visit?
  • Does the Agreement include the annual safety check?
  • Do you need a comprehensive maintenance contract?
  • How are annual price increases calculated within the term of the contract?
  • Do you have the right to request in writing the qualifications and experience of the maintenance mechanic working on your lift?
