As an owner of Melbourne Elevator Maintenance, it is my job to ensure our customers receive good value and quality services, and that we price our services so that we can stay in business!

As I consider the recent past, and the uncertain geopolitical nature of the future, I am concerned by how increasing costs will impact our economy as a whole and, obviously, my company, in particular. I thought it would be helpful to our customers and potential customers to explain our pricing strategy.

Core to our business is ensuring our customers receive:

• Quality lift maintenance with each service being 45 to 60 minutes duration and fully documented.
• All contracted customers receive a thorough safety check each year, including engaging safety gear, checking slack rope switches, and rupture valves etc, all fully documented.
• Responsive customer service, customers can talk to decision makers!
• Maintaining a stock of all common parts to ensure repairs are completed as quickly as possible.
• Ensuring all technicians are working to a high standard and receiving ongoing industry training.
• All charges are fair to customers while providing them the highest quality service.

Adhering to our core business aims and values is not negotiable. Melbourne Elevators will not cut corners to reduce costs. Evaluating how we work and where costs may potentially be reduced is an ongoing process.

To stay in business all companies must keep pace with the ever increasing costs of doing business. Melbourne Elevators increases its rates each year by looking at the previous financial year and the percentage increase in our business costs. For the last couple of years our increasing prices have been the Consumer Price Index plus increased overheads beyond CPI such as, government charges and insurances etc. In August each year we assess how costs have increased and pass these on to customers where necessary. Melbourne Elevators always strives to provide excellent value for our services while, at the same time, ensuring that we can stay in business!

I trust that the above explains a little bit more of how we work, we always try to be as fair and as transparent as possible.
